Snow Canyon State Park

Snow Canyon State Park is located in southwestern Utah and just northwest of St. George Utah. The park is 5,738 acres and offers several amazing hikes and wonderful scenery to its visitors. The little known canyon has very distinctive beauty. Red and white sandstone with a scattering of black lava rock provide a color contrast that is seldom seen outside of the park. Visitors to Snow Canyon during the spring season will be treated to an extra splash of color as the native cactus and wildflowers come into full bloom.

This red-rock paradise offers a range of outdoor activities and breathtaking scenery that is sure to leave you awestruck. With mild winter weather and towering sandstone cliffs, this park is a photographer's paradise.

Snow Canyon offers 4 miles of paved bike paths and over 16 miles of hiking trails, making it a popular destination for hikers, bikers, and campers year-round. Whether you're an avid rock climber or just enjoy a leisurely ride on horseback, this park has something for everyone. And for those who are looking for a more relaxed experience, the park's campground is the perfect place to set up camp and take in the stunning views.

In addition to the park's many attractions, nearby cities such as Ivins, St. George, and Santa Clara offer plenty of dining and shopping options. And if you're looking for even more outdoor adventures, three other state parks and Zion National Park are just a short drive away.

Getting to Snow Canyon State Park is easy. The park is located approximately 312 miles south of Salt Lake City and 110 miles north of Las Vegas, and can be easily accessed from I-15. From I-15 northbound, simply take exit 6 (Bluff Street), go north on Bluff Street to the intersection with Snow Canyon Parkway, turn left onto Snow Canyon Parkway, and proceed to the park's south entrance. For those coming from I-15 southbound, take exit 10 (Washington), turn right off the ramp, take an immediate left at the light, and follow the directions to the park's south entrance.
